• Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role 

• Strong Xero experience (non-negotiable) 

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and preparing financial statements 

• Experience with NZ tax legislation is an advantage (training provided for the right person) 

• Excellent English communication skills 

• Strong attention to detail and professional work ethic 

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines 

• Willingness to align with New Zealand business hours to actively join team meetings, respond promptly to client queries, and collaborate seamlessly in real time. 

• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and reconciliations 

• Process GST, PAYE, and support tax-related filings (NZ training available) 

• Manage Xero ledger coding, month-end tasks, and cleanups 

• Support clients with financial queries and ensure accurate information is maintained 

• Assist with year-end workpapers and audit support 

• Collaborate with our NZ team to deliver high-quality service 

• Contribute to improving internal processes and client solutions
